Great Sail & Great Price.

AirForce Storm Jibs will give you years of reliable use in the heaviest of offshore conditions. All our storm sails are cut parallel to the leech rather than cross-cut to increase the load absorption, which any sailor will appreciate. Our sails are designed with a very high clew, to enable sheeting back to the available track. Choose between our high quality white Dacron or heavy duty Dacron finished in bright Orange to comply with safety requirements for high visibilty.

How to calculate the correct storm jib for your boat.
Recommended maximum luff length: 0.65 x I (0.65 x 35.5 = 23.08)
Recommended sail area: 0.05 x I-squared (0.05 x 35.5 squared = 63.01)

Best fit: Size #2

Rule of thumb, the racing rule that these storm jib sizes are based on dictates a "maximum" (can be less) luff length, and a "maximum" (can be less) sail area. Therefore, the cases where our standard sizes can't satisfy both criteria, then we suggest that you always go DOWN to whatever standard size would satisfy the maximum sail area criteria, and accept that the luff length will sometimes be shorter than the maximum.
