We were about 5 years overdue for a mainsail, and were eager to get the sail on order, but after talking with the folks at Airforce they convinced us to wait until the rig was up and we could get accurate measurements and as much actual detail as possible. "Hello Cheryl,
Our new sails have performed excellently. We have been down in the Jumentos Islands, where we saw a pretty steady 15-20 every day. We are able to get 65% of the wind and remember we are a some what heavy boat. Our old sails gave us about 45% on a good day. The close hauled performance really surprised us, and with the large roach we passed all the PDQs on the downwind!!
